Never before in Australia, the International College of Surgeons (Chicago, USA) have joined with the North Australian Surgeons to hold a quality Australasian forum to take place in Townsville, Queensland, Easter 2008. The focus is to bring together renown international and regional experts in the fields of Minimally Invasive Surgery of relevance to general surgical specialties.

FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME a Nursing program has been included into an International College of Surgeons Conference. The International College of Surgeons (whose mission is to ‘Teach, Research, Communicate & Lead’) have used this conference to promote the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in providing optimal patient care.

In addition to the Surgeons Conference program, Nurses will have the opportunity to attend Nurse oriented workshops and talks. Talks running concurrently with the main conference will give Nurses the opportunity to meet and ask questions of highly esteemed Surgeons from around the world.
